Published in early 1930's. I presume them to be from the first edition. The collection is in fantastic condition for their age. And still make delightful reading.

And ought to be fully appreciated. Each book includes literary content page. And full list of artists included. Have been stored in a closed book cupboard in my aunt's hallway for around 45 years.

We believe she had them from new. Some age marks to the inner covers but the outer covers and internal pages are clean. Gilt lettering to spines remain bright and clear. 20 hard back, high quality books featuring satirical essays and images of the time across a wide variety of topics.

Highly detailed black and white illustrations through out. Each book weighs aprox 680g.

And measures aprox 20 x 15.5 x 3 cm. So this is a very heavy, bulky collection which will be expensive to post. Customers are welcome to view and collect in person.

Tipped-in colour frontispieces; profusely illustrated with black and white engravings. Very light shelf wear, contents remain clean and unmarked with tight, sound bindings. No signs of having been read. No fading to outer cover.
