A charming and complete 23-volume collection of Beatrix Potter's classic tales, presented in its original publisher's presentation box. This vintage edition includes all of Potter's beloved stories and nursery rhymes, each featuring the original full-colour illustrations and housed in matching dust jackets, printed by Frederick Warne & Co. Between the late 1970s and early 1980s.

February 1978 and January 1980, consistent with Warne's common practice of assembling box sets from consecutive print runs. Each book bears the ISBN prefix 07232, confirming authenticity. Includes all 21 storybooks plus Appley Dapply's Nursery Rhymes and Cecily Parsley's Nursery Rhymes. Matching jackets on all volumes. Beatrix Potter's original illustrations.

Richly detailed and true to the original publications. Hardback boards in varied tones.

Cream, pale grey, green, and orange - typical of sets from this era. 14.5 cm x 11 cm - the iconic Warne presentation.

Decorated with Peter Rabbit illustrations. Overall, the books are in very good vintage condition.

All volumes are clean, tightly bound, and complete. Dust jackets all present, with light age-related wear or slight discolouration consistent with age.

The Tale of Samuel Whiskers has a 1cm tear to the back of the jacket (see photos). The Tailor of Gloucester has a jacket tear along the fold (visible in photo); still attached and protective. The book itself is excellent. The original storage box shows some sun fading to one side, light creasing, and softened corners but remains structurally solid and suitable for display or storage.

Note on Cover Colour Variations. While all dust jackets match, the hardback boards vary slightly in tone - some cream, green, orange, or grey. These subtle variations are typical of vintage editions and add to their uniqueness and collectable appeal, unlike the uniformity of modern reprints.
