If books are your interest, I have more book listings. This is a complete set of works from a very well-respected 19. Macaulay wrote on English history and he is known to have not held back when writing about his contemporary national leaders (Monarchs, Prime Ministers, religious leadership). This means he wrote about conspiratorial matters, which was out-of-the-ordinary for historians of the time. The passage he wrote about the term "cabinet" (in terms of political ministers) arising from the term "cabal" is a strikingly interesting read, one of his more famous passages, and my personal favourite.
This set is dutifully collated and edited by his sister, Lady Trevelyan. Therefore, you'll know there is no room for interpretation of Thomas's original musings and statements. For the size of these volumes, the weight isn't too heavy. They are relatively light to hold, and it makes for easier reading.I would like this set to go to a good home. The publication date is 1879. Even though it is rebound, the set is rare and the condition is very good + to excellent condition, especially for its age! This item is in the category "Books, Comics & Magazines\Books".
